Coastal communities rely on full funding for NOAA

WE are in the midst of the busy season here on the Washington coast, when we see our biggest influx of visitors eager to experience the breathtaking beauty and natural wealth of towns and beaches from the Columbia River to Neah Bay… Fortunately Washington’s Congressional representatives — U.S. Reps. Derek Kilmer and Jaime Herrera Beutler, and U.S. Sens. Senators Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell — have stepped up to defend funding for the Coastal Zone Management Program, Sea Grant, the Pacific Coastal Salmon Recovery Fund and other programs we rely on. We thank them for their leadership, but there is more to be done.
