Kilmer Invites Vietnam War Period Veterans and Community Members to Ceremonies in Belfair, Gig Harbor
Vietnam War Period Veterans Invited to Receive Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin
MASON AND PIERCE COUNTIES, WA – Today, U.S. Representative Derek Kilmer (WA-06) invited veterans who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces at any time during the period of November 1, 1955, to May 15, 1975, regardless of location to receive a Vietnam veteran lapel pin at ceremonies in Belfair and Shelton.
At each veterans pinning ceremony, Rep. Kilmer will present veterans with Vietnam veteran lapel pins, provided by the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration, as a lasting memento of the Nation's thanks. Members of the Belfair and Gig Harbor communities are encouraged to attend and show support for friends and neighbors who served during the Vietnam War period.
At the Belfair Ceremony, Rep. Kilmer will partner with Mason County Commissioner, District 1, Randy Neatherlin and the North Mason Fraternal Order of Eagles #4226.
At the Gig Harbor Ceremony, Rep. Kilmer will partner with the Boy Scouts of America (Troop 282), Elks Lodge No. 2560, and the Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals.
