Kilmer Statement on Iraq War Anniversary

Representative Derek Kilmer released the following statement on the 10^th anniversary of the Iraq War.

“Today we remember the sacrifice of the thousands of Americans who gave their lives in the Iraq War. We also commit ourselves to the cause of the hundreds of thousands of veterans who served in Iraq and their families. It is still far too common for those who served our nation in conflict to suffer from unemployment, homelessness, physical or mental health issues, or to struggle with the return to civilian life in other ways. The war in Iraq may have ended, but our nation’s effort to ensure that those who served receive the benefits and assistance they deserve will go on.”
