Listening Tour Continues Focus on Jobs with Weeklong Swing through Region

Representative Kilmer brings his Listening Tour to Grays Harbor and the northern Olympic Peninsula this week to discuss jobs, education, and maritime issues.  This is his first major tour of the area since his swearing in.

On Tuesday, Kilmer will participate in a small business roundtable hosted by Greater Grays Harbor Inc., visit Grays Harbor College, and receive briefings from the Westport Shipyards, Reed Composites, and Pasha Automotive.  In Clallam County over the next two days, he’ll address the Forks Chamber of Commerce, hold his third “Kilmer at Your Company” event at Magna Force, and take a tour of the Port Angeles Coast Guard Air Station.

“While home this week, I’ll be travelling around our neck of the woods to talk to folks and listen to their ideas,” said Representative Kilmer. “This week of events around our region focuses on important issues – growing our economy, providing great educational opportunities for everyone, and protecting our nation.”

Over the last month, Representative Kilmer has attended many Listening Tour events with local military and small business leaders.  Magna Force will be his third “Kilmer at Your Company” event following SAFE Boats in Bremerton and Evergreen Fire and Security in Tacoma.
